Enjoy an evening of heartfelt songs and humor at the Katie Hella Kelly-Thon Fundraising Concert!
Singer-songwriter Katie Kelly’s music has been described as “weirdly delightful,” “delightfully weird,” and “a relief after all those elephant jokes.”
Her lyrical sensibility is inspired by musicians such as Aimee Mann, Neko Case, Jeff Tweedy, and Paul McCartney. As Katie puts it, “they’ve all shown me that just about any sentence can turn into a song lyric, and writing songs simply makes me feel good.” Sometimes, it’s just as simple as that.
She’ll be joined by producer and musician Robert M. Powell and bassist David Knupp to play songs off her debut record, Katie Kelly & Her Secret Parade. The night also features performances by acclaimed singer-songwriters Sara Gallagher & Jacob Aranda.
All Ages. Doors at 6pm, music at 6:30. Seated and standing room available.
